How to Check a Used Car’s History Before You Buy

Auction sheets, service records and paint meters — a practical guide for Bangladeshi buyers.

In Bangladesh, most quality used cars are reconditioned imports with Japanese auction sheets. Learning to read them is your first line of defence.

Look for the auction grade (4 or 4.5+ is excellent), repair codes (RA/R1/R2 mean bodywork was done), and the odometer stamp. Cross-check the sheet against the physical car — mismatched paint shades and inconsistent panel gaps tell the real story.

Always ask for: the auction sheet, the import duty receipt, the C&F paperwork, and service records. At Banani Auto Trade every listing includes these documents, and our team walks you through them before any commitment.
